I know what you mean about Walker but personally at least I'd rather have him being a bit silly than utterly boring like his predecessor was. He's always going to be a love or hate character though. His fronting of snooker on the red was well done but he could do with learning some interview technique- then again a number of former star players could do with learning how to construct sentences and acquire some new phrases before they enter a commentary box again! Thanks to Griffiths, Foulds and Everton for excellent commentary which sadly disappeared with the second table although Dennis Davis and JP performed well when given the chance. Hopefully Fred can take things further and return the popular heritage room to the Crucible and cue zone can return to the level it reached in days gone by.
