Snooker tournaments are bases on merit, the ability to play and compete at the highest levels. All she is is an average player, theres literally thousands out there who are far better snooker players who wont be getting 'wildcard' invitations. 6 red championship is complete nonsense and well documented, erm, think less said about higgins the better on here. Snooker is all about encouraging up and coming players, whether they be women or men, regardless of age, they should be encouraged an nurtured by accomplished knowledgeable helpful professionals. I just can hop onto this 'female' sports wagon. Women fought for equal rights, and thats a great thing, but now they have them, they want to invent sports exclusively for women, which is fair enough again, but not at the expense of far more talented players being denied the same rights. And if it's a money problem we could try and raise some through this forum. :) If 100 people would spend 5 € each, might that be enough for the starting fee? Reanne in the past has entered the PIOS but couldn't qualify for the MT. I think she's sharper now though and maybe she should try again. She needs tougher competition to progress and currently doesn't get it on the ladies tour.
