Here you can find the qualifying draw for the 2009 Shanghai Masters. These matches were staged at Pontin’s Prestatyn between August 3rd-6th, except for the match between David Gilbert and Liang Wenbo which has been held over to Shanghai.
Note that players with their name in green are still in the tournament.
Players in red have been knocked out of the tournament.

Very nice draw page, Matt!
I really like the layout with the pictures, it is simple, clear and looks nice. One improvement you could make would be to make the player names link to their respective profile page.

Just wondered what the prize money was for the qualifiers? Do they stay at Pontins or have to pay for an hotel etc? Because if the latter there isn’t going to be much left from a few hundred or even a thousand or so winnings!

I think the players in the top 64 are guaranteed a certain amount, £1k a tournament or something, but otherwise those below have to make it to round 3 in order to get any prize money at all.
I think they get cheap (or maybe even free), deals on the rooms at Pontin’s so that shouldn’t be too bad.
Was chatting to Jimmy Robertson the other day though and he’s got over 300 miles to drive each way! At least it has been worth it for him this week.
