Amateur Career

Scotland’s Eden Sharav first came to the attention of snooker fans back in 2011 as he defeated Liang Wenbo, Adam Duffy and Gary Wilson to reach the last 16 of the PTC1 event in Gloucester, losing to countryman Marcus Campbell.

It was not though until 2014 that he first tried to qualify for the main tour via Q School, making it to the final of both events only to lose agonisingly to Tian Pengfei and another Scot, Michael Leslie.

A year later however it was to be third time lucky as he defeated Joshua Cooper, William Lemons, Brett Miller, Callum Downing and finally Adam Duffy in a high-quality encounter to earn a two-year tour card from the start of the 2015/16 season.
