Career Summary

Born in Ireland, Patricia Murphy now lives in Lincolnshire and together with Molly Newbold is one of snooker’s best-known female referees after Michaela Tabb.

Although she has yet to referee at the World Championship, since qualifying in 2004 she has been involved with events such as the UK Championship and the World Series, as well as a series of exhibition matches. Notably, one of these exhibitions involved Ken Doherty and the late Paul Hunter in a repeat of their epic 2003 World semi-final, Ken memorably making a 147 during the match in Dublin!
