Libya’s Khaled Belaid Abumdas earned a place on the main tour for the 2013/14 season, courtesy of his run to the final of the 2013 African Championship, where he lost out 6-2 to former professional Peter Francisco.

Having successfully obtained a work permit in November 2013, Khaled subsequently played in five professional tournaments, but was unable to win more than five frames in total as he struggled to match the standard of his more experienced opponents.
