    Where did they get these Wildcards from? Presumably Lasse Mustermann was offered one and turned it down? Also has Mario Wehrmann actually withdrawn (or has someone at World Snooker overenthusiastically cut and pasted from last year’s draw)?

    If the organisers and Eurosport want to get an extra session and a half’s snooker and sell tickets for it why not just hold over a few of the qualifiers (that way they could have seen players like Jimmy, Hendry, Fu, Jamie Cope etc at the venue)?
