2013/14 – Tour Qualification

In May 2014 Rory Thor Chuan Leong defeated Taiwan’s Hung Chung Ming 7-3 to become the third Malaysian player to win the Asian Championship.

As a result, Rory earned a two-year main tour card, beginning from the 2014/15 season.

2014/15

Leong would enter his first events during the 2014/15 season as late as February 2015, losing to Dechawat Poomjaeng and Jamie Cope at the Indian Open and China Open qualifiers respectively.

A 4-3 defeat to Stuart Bingham would follow at the Welsh Open, before he also pushed Jimmy Robertson relatively close at the World Championship qualifiers, eventually losing 10-7 in their first round match.
