As was the case during 2010/11, during the 2011/12 season there will be a two-year rolling ranking system in place which means that tournament seedings are adjusted mid-season, beginning with revision one following the PTC6 event on the 3rd October 2011.

The second revision will take following the PTC12 event. At this update, at the time of writing (May 2011), it appears that points earned from the 2009 UK Championship will be replaced by points from the later PTC events, 2011 UK Championship tournaments and possibly another ranking event to be confirmed.

The third revision will take place following the Welsh Open during February 2011. It would appear that at this stage, points from the 2010 Welsh Open will be removed and replaced by those from the German Masters and the Welsh Open 2012.

The fourth and final revision will take place at the end of the season, following which the points from the 2010 China Open and World Championship tournaments will be removed.
