Wells Wins EBSA Championship 2011

After a hectic week or so in Sofia, today saw Welsh talent Daniel Wells emerge as the victor in the mens event following a 7-4 victory against Irish former professional Vincent Muldoon today.

With Wells already safe on the main tour for 2011/12 having received the Welsh nomination, the EBSA have now nominated Muldoon for the last remaining tour spot but as the likes have Michael Wasley have found out in the past, World Snooker do not have to award the place to the runner-up in circumstances such as this.

With potentially two spots available as the uncertainty around Igor Figueiredo continues, hopefully we will receive confirmation soon with the season starting tomorrow with the first PTC…

European Championship Down To Last 16

A brief post here by way of update regarding the ongoing 2011 EBSA European Championship in Bulgaria which today came down to the last 16 stage.
