Congratulations to Mark Selby who has today made the first 147 break of his career during the Jiangsu Classic tournament against Joe Perry…
Before today the best run of Mark’s career was an excellent 145 constructed during the Championship League earlier this year, but against Joe Perry this evening in his final match at the Jiangsu Classic, he managed to hit a perfect 147 break for the first time.
He might have lost the match and it might not be a major event, but Mark will be delighted to add his name to the list of players to have made a max in tournament play nevertheless. It is the 69th officially recognised 147 and the second this year following Stephen Hendry’s break at the Crucible in April.
If a video surfaces at some point I will add it to this post so check back for that.
Well done Mark!
