Will Craigie be back?
A short follow-up to my post on the wildcards earlier in the week to say that as I understand it, an official announcement will be made tomorrow (Thursday), as to who the wildcards will be. If this is accurate, as soon as I know, you will know…

I’ve not heard anything on that yet unfortunately, can’t be too long though surely…

I’d make Tian Pengfei a strong favourite for the Asian one.

Tian Pengfei only got to the Last 8 in the recent Asian Championship.
There could be other choices, now is too early to say…

David Gray, Andrew Norman, Ian Preece and Joe Jogia are the choices.
Another backward step by WSA in giving the first three names a wildcard – players who have had their chance and have failed, so why not give somebody with an excellent amateur record a chance?

What a shame World Snooker both failed to give emerging talent a chance and also did not look more favourably on overseas potential in their choices.

Preece, Gray and Norman are very lucky – I think that wildcards should be given mainly to under 21s not jobs for the boys – even giving an extra 1 or 2 to PIOS players would have been better

Have to agree with JH, it would be so good to see some overseas talent a chance!
