A brief reminder for you all here that the second event of the Pro Challenge Series will begin tomorrow over at Prestatyn and already there is news regarding two players who have withdrawn from the event…
The two in question are Irishman Joe Delaney and for the second event in a row, six-times world finalist Jimmy White. I am not sure of the reason for either player, but it is good news for both Sam Baird and Matt Selt who will now receive byes through to the next round.
The event will be the first professional tournament organised by World Snooker that will run under the controversial 6-Red format and it will be interesting to see how the players take to it.
