World number two Stephen Maguire has had a disappointing start to the season with his shoulder problems, but as expected World Snooker have at least awarded him his minimum 980 points for the Shanghai Masters tournament in their latest rankings.
I will be posting a more detailed review of the ups and downs in the rankings following the Grand Prix later this week…

Yeah I have, seen the video too, doesn’t do him any favours.
Been debating over whether to do a piece on it but came to the conclusion that burying snooker players as such isn’t something that I really want to get into. Mentioned it on my Twitter but I think I’ll avoid bringing any more attention to it than that…
