Williams gets in on 147 Act

Just a day after Thai youngster Thanawat Thirapongpaiboon made the first maximum break of his fledgling career yesterday, Welsh wizard Mark Williams got in on the act today as he made just the second maximum of his career against Diana Schuler in this weekend’s EPTC3 event…

The maximum, Mark’s first since the 2005 World Championship is the 75th in professional competition although again the achievement does not earn Mark any kind of monetary reward. Worse still, Mark also exited the tournament later in the day at the hands of Gerard Greene, without actually winning a frame!
