What a strange week this is turning out to be as following the day one exits of Mark Selby and Ali Carter, UK Championship finalists John Higgins and Mark Williams were also sent packing yesterday as they lost out to Graeme Dott and Ding Junhui.
Apologies for the quietness on the blog front this week, unfortunately the writer has been hit with the flu so updates will not be as prompt as usual.
Will the upsets continue today? Possibly, though I would still have to back Ronnie O’Sullivan to overcome Mark Allen this afternoon. The Maguire/Fu clash this evening meanwhile is a difficult one to predict, even by this week’s standards.
