German Masters 2013: Qualifiers Start Wednesday

Another day, another tournament, today sees the start of the qualifiers for the 2013 German Masters at the EIS in Sheffield, which will run for three days, concluding on Friday.

As explained previously, the qualifiers will be run under a brand new format, probably best explained by simply linking you to the draw which you can view here.

You can view the usual key links on the right-hand side, while you will note that as with the ET6 qualifiers, the points for this event will not count towards the current projected seedings list, instead the next set which I will have at PSB following the UK Championship.

Well done McManus a nervey 5 – 4 win over drago with final frame tension all down to final pink. Next up against Maguire in Germany in the new year. Your loyal fans will be hoping for a great win. All the best Angles.

    Has anyone seen this?

Drago got two snookers back and a free ball after being almost out of it. However when he missed a simple pink (the free ball) he then conceded the frame despite McManus still needing to pot the blue. He then tried to retract his consession, but McManus wouldn’t accept it!

To be fair to Tony I think McManus should have just got down and knocked the blue in, it didn’t look like a difficult pot (pretty much equivalent to knocking a yellow in off the spot).
