A sad piece of news has broken this evening with the story that Rileys has entered into administration, with the immediate closure of 15 clubs and a loss of approximately 124 jobs. Regardless of the rights and wrongs, the reasons for the company’s current plight, sympathy has to be had with the employees affected and hopefully a solution can be found in respect of the surviving clubs.
As stated by the Birmingham Post here, the clubs immediately closed are: Belle Vue (Manchester), Cardiff, Coatbridge, Derby, Edinburgh, Exeter, Guildford, Hull, Luton, Peterborough Orton, Peterborough QClub, Plymouth, Rugby, Scunthorpe and Wigan.
