It only feels like yesterday that fellow blogger Snookerbacker was toying with the idea of getting his own amateur competition off the ground, but earlier this week he launched what will now be the fifth edition of the event, the SBC2016.
In a change from previous seasons, when Q School places were offered as prizes, this time around the event will be for straight cash, with a total prize fund of over £12,000 up for grabs.
