PTC4 Underway in Furth

It started yesterday but today is when the fun really begins as the first professionals enter the fray – yes it’s the Paul Hunter Classic and you can follow the latest scores over at WWW Snooker by clicking here. I will post a report and of course update the projected seedings later in the day. Note that this will be the first PTC covered by Eurosport and you can watch both on TV or by signing up for the Eurosport Player here.

PTC3: Seeds Tumble as Williams, Ding, Robertson and Murphy Crash Out

Friday saw the professionals enter the fray at PTC3 and what a day it was as a number of the top ranked players were sent crashing out of the tournament by lower ranked opposition.

Unfortunately due to personal circumstances I have not been able to provide a comprehensive report on the action from Sheffield but I have updated my projected seedings list which you can see here. You can also view all of the results from the tournament here at WWW Snooker.

More will follow on Saturday’s action later in the day…

PTC3 Amateur Stage Latest, Draw Confusion (Updated)

Friday Morning UPDATE: No news yet from World Snooker as to what is happening with the draw so for any players reading I would strongly recommend contacting World Snooker to clarify when you are next playing. This is because Michael Wasley for example is now playing on Saturday having originally been told that he would be playing on Friday, while the opposite applies to Ben Harrison who now plays practice partner Stephen Lee today when he had believed that he would be playing tomorrow.

The situation has not been helped also by the fact that the ‘wrong’ draw has been updated overnight on World Snooker and is still showing the original fixtures.

If anyone becomes aware of any other changes then please leave a comment below as I will not be able to update this post throughout the day.
