UKPTC3 Draw Now Available
A brief line to confirm that as well as announcing changes to the rankings system yesterday (as discussed in my previous post), yesterday also saw World Snooker publish the drawsheet for UKPTC3, including for the first time this season, reigning world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan.

ET1: Doherty Ends Maximum Wait

Congratulations to Ireland’s Ken Doherty, who today made the 90th maximum break in professional competition and the first of his 22-year professional career.
The max came during frame three of his 4-0 victory against Germany’s Julian Treiber, and provided it is not equalled during the remaining two days of the event, will earn the former world champion £1,500 from the rolling prize fund…

European Tour Begins in Furth
A reminder to all that today sees the professionals enter the fray at ET1, aka the Paul Hunter Classic in Germany, as the snooker circus continues apace.
All of the usual quick links are on the right, unfortunately there is still no news as to the situation with the projected seedings, but as soon as I hear anything, a new provisional list will of course be posted.

Gdynia Open – ET2 Down To 32
Somewhat under the radar, the last couple of days has seen the early rounds of ET2, also known as the Gdynia Open, take place at the EIS in Sheffield to decide the 32 players who will compete at the venue.
