Closing on the 96…

With the 2010/11 season approaching it looks like it will be only a matter of days until the 96 players who will compete on the tour are confirmed as World Snooker have in the last few days confirmed that both Igor Figueiredo and Patrick Einsle have been handed wildcards. As an aside, unfortunately due to technical issues, or more specifically my computer being completely dead (borrowing someone else’s for this post), updates are going to be sporadic until I am able to have it repaired so apologies in advance! Evans awarded main tour place

Amidst the bad news in the game at the moment, there is one good story today as Reanne Evans was today confirmed as being the recipient of one of the coveted wildcard places on the main tour for the 2010/11 season. It will be fascinating to see how Reanne fares in the top flight and hopefully her presence will help to boost the state of the womens game and attract more people to the game. More will follow on this story following the conclusion of the World Championship.
