I am sad to report today that former BBC snooker presenter David Vine has passed away following a heart attack yesterday evening. He was 73 years old…

Indeed as Dave says, many snooker fans will have grown up watching Vine at the helm, indeed I did and he will certainly never be forgotten. He was an excellent presenter and seemed to be a very nice person when I had the pleasure of meeting him at the 2005 World Championship at the Crucible.
