Marteel To Referee Crucible Final

Olivier Marteel will become the first Belgian to referee the Crucible final at the Betfred World Championship, which starts next month. The 45-year-old from Koksijde in West Flanders will take charge of the final in Sheffield on May 3 and 4.

Reports: World Championship to Stay at the Crucible Until at Least 2017

Big news this morning as it is being reported by ITV News that a new contract has been finalised between World Snooker and the Sheffield City Council for the World Championship to remain at the Crucible for the next three seasons.
