PSB: Feeding Back

As this is a rather quiet week on the snooker circuit I thought that this would be a good opportunity to respond to the feedback that was posted back at the end of 2009 in response to this previous post. Also to note that an interesting landmark was reached today as I posted the 1,000th post on this blog since it’s 2008 creation…

The first point I would like to address is that raised by a couple of you concerning hearing more of my opinion and my analysis. It is an interesting issue because when I first thought of creating the site the intention was firmly to give opinion and offer more comment than I presently do, but somehow the site quickly evolved into more of a news site with the intention of providing information for snooker fans around the world. It is firmly in my mind to try and offer more opinion/analysis in the future however and with the World Championship drawing ever closer I hope to be able to help fans get even closer to the action.

The issue of active links as raised by RobG is something that I have tried to implement by linking to tournament draws in the sidebar occasionally but perhaps is something that could be improved further. While a ranking event tournament is underway I would be interested to know what people find to be the most important things to see, be it ranking points, the draw, the match results or perhaps something else?

Topping my previous poll with 15% of the vote each were the options for more statistics and more direct from the players, the latter in particular being something that I would like to improve as the months go by. Watch this space…

As for a podcast, I don’t forsee that happening in the near future, I’m not sure that anyone would want to listen to me drone on about snooker for any length of time!
