As you would expect, all of the players publicly at least are talking a good game and it will be interesting to see which of them can back their words up with performances in both China and Sheffield.
I am slightly surprised to see how confident Liang Wenbo is regarding his top 16 place at the moment as while he is well-placed to break into that group, wins for the likes of Peter Ebdon, Mark King, Marco Fu and Jamie Cope over in China could leave him needing a further win at the Crucible yet…

This isn’t the first time Liang’s celebrated early.
Against Swail at the worlds 2 years ago he celebrated at 12-8 but swail got a snooker and pushed back to 12-12
