While Wednesday sees the start of the Wuxi Classic, before that comes the 2011 edition of the General Cup International, a tournament last staged in 2009 and won on that occasion by Ricky Walden. This year Ricky is back to defend his title along with players including Marco Fu and Stephen Lee…
The Players
There are six players competing in the competition who will be split into two groups as follows:
Group A: Stephen Lee, Tom Ford, Thepchaiya Un-Nooh
Group B: Ricky Walden, Marco Fu, Noppadol Sangnil
As far as the format is concerned I am not quite sure how it will work, though looking at the poster above (click to enlarge), it looks as though the final will be held on Thursday.

3rd in Group: £600

I am busy at my work and cannot get to the venue to watch. Hope someone can take a few photos there and I will keep update to all.
