Good news today as World Snooker earlier announced that the upcoming UK Championship tournament will be sponsored by williamhill.com.
Back in York this year for the first time since 2006, the tournament begins this Saturday at the Barbican Centre and it is surely positive news that such a high profile sponsor has been secured for what despite the format change remains one of the most prestigious events on the snooker calendar.
