Q School 2014: Starts Saturday

WS QSchool 225

Well you didn’t think that we could go a week without a snooker tournament did you? Five days on from Mark Selby’s Crucible triumph, snooker’s strongest amateurs will begin their latest battle for main tour places tomorrow at the 2014 Q School.

Set to be held for the first time at the South West Snooker Academy, the two events will be held between 10-21 May 2014, with eight professional places up for grabs for the winner of each event.

You can view the draws for the respective events, as well as the tournament format at World Snooker here.

Good luck to everyone involved.

How does the OOM work with some players coming in at the first round and others the second – do the first round wins and points not count? Also how are byes dealt with?

2 events is going to produce some random results on the OOM – there are some matches that were so one sided it hardly seems fair for them to count!
