Race to the Masters, World Grand Prix Lists

A short post during a period of rare downtime from the snooker tour to flag up two of the ranking lists to follow during the next few months as players look to qualify for this season’s Masters and World Grand Prix tournaments.

Here you can view the race to the 2016 Masters, which includes only points that will count towards qualification for the sport’s biggest invitational tournament, following the cut-off point this December.

You can also view the race to the World Grand Prix list here, which will include prize money from the start of this season, through to the Gdynia Open next year.

Closer analysis will of course follow as the season progresses…

World Snooker is delighted to announce 888.com as the title sponsor of the new World Grand Prix, which takes place next week in North Wales.

The 888.com World Grand Prix at Venue Cymru in Llandudno will run from March 16 to 22, televised by ITV4. Ronnie O’Sullivan, Mark Selby, Neil Robertson, Ding Junhui, Judd Trump and Shaun Murphy will be among the green baize stars chasing the £100,000 top prize.

World Grand Prix Heads To Llandudno

A major new snooker tournament – the World Grand Prix – will be staged in Llandudno early next year.

The event will take place at Venue Cymru in Llandudno on the north coast of Wales from March 16th to 22nd, 2015.

Created by World Snooker Chairman Barry Hearn, this new tournament will bring together 32 of the best players on the planet to compete for a top prize of £100,000. It will be televised live on ITV4 with a total prize fund of £300,000.

The top 32 players on a one-year ranking system running from the 2014 World Championship to the 2015 Gdynia Open will qualify for the tournament….
