The World Snooker Tour will return to Scotland for the first time in over two years in December with a tournament in Ravenscraig.
It will be the fifth event on the new Betfair European Tour, part of the Players Tour Championship series. The event at the 600-seater Ravenscraig Sports Facility will run from December 14 to 16 (Friday to Sunday) and will be televised by Eurosport.
Betfair, the world’s biggest international online sports betting company, will sponsor World Snooker’s new European Tour this season.
The European Tour is a series of six events over the next few months, capitalising on the sport’s burgeoning popularity across the continent. It will be known as the Betfair European Tour with each event broadcast on Eurosport.
