Ding Junhui has today underlined his status in the game as one of the men to beat at the moment with a superb 9-5 victory against Judd Trump to capture the 2014 German Masters this evening.

Congratulations to Judd Trump, who has this evening hit the first maximum 147 break of his professional career, at the ET7 event in Antwerp.
Coming in the third frame of his last 32 match against Mark Selby, the break is the 99th maximum in snooker history and earns Judd the rolling PTC maximum prize of £3,500, provided that the break is not equalled during the remainder of the weekend.
Despite the landmark, Judd was to eventually lose the match 4-3, meaning that he will not repeat his title success in Antwerp from two years ago.
